FAQ
Q: Why does this 1921 LED have a black surface instead of being clear?
A: This is actually a feature, not a flaw. The Black Clear lens is designed specifically for display applications. When the pixel is turned off, the black epoxy hides the internal chip structure and prevents ambient light reflection. This gives your LED screen much deeper blacks and higher contrast, especially on dark background modules.
Q: Can I use my standard lead-free reflow profile for these SMD LEDs?
A: Yes, but watch the peak temperature. The spec allows a maximum of 260°C for 10 seconds, and only one pass is recommended. If you need to rework a board, try to keep the heat localized. Also, the preheat zone should stay under 150°C for no more than 2 minutes to prevent thermal shock.
Q: How many pieces come on one reel, and how long can I store them after opening?
A: Each reel contains 10,500 pieces. Regarding storage: once you open the vacuum bag, you must use them within 7 days in an environment below 30°C and 60% RH. If they sit out longer, you need to bake them at 60°C for 24 hours before reflow, otherwise, the LED might crack due to moisture expansion during soldering.

From our Dongguan workshop to your PCB boards. We run our production line here in Dongguan (right by Dongcheng, Xiaqiao, if you know the place). This 1921 RGB LED is literally everywhere in our warehouse right now. We mostly sell it to guys making those P2.5 and P3 and P4.81 LED screens.
One thing we always tell our customers: watch the Blue die. It's only rated for 20mA, while Red and Green can take 25mA. We had a customer last year who kept blowing the blue chips because his driver was pushing too hard. So yeah, check your current limits before you solder.
Also, about the Black Lens-don't think it's just for looks. It really does hide the ugly reflections when the screen is off. Makes the black parts look "blacker".
